**The Role**
International Policy Division seeks a professional, motivated and experienced Executive Level One to fill the position of Assistant Director Security and Information, based in Canberra ACT.
The role will encompass all security disciplines and security policies and falls into four broad categories: administration, personnel security, physical security, and security education.
The Assistant Director Security and Information will establish local policies and undertake security activities including, but not limited to:
- management of Divisional personnel security clearances;
- compliance inspections;
- incident reporting;
- visitor access;
- security inductions and training for approved personnel; and
- delivery of security briefings.

International Policy Division (IPDIV) within Strategic, Policy and Industry (SP&I;) Group is a fully integrated civilian-military workforce, drawing on high-quality and motivated people from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines who embody Defence and Australian Public Service values. IPDIV provides strategic level policy advice to Government on the central issues of Australia's Defence policy, including international Defence relations and ADF operations.

We are looking for a security specialist to perform the role of Assistant Director Security and Information, who will be able to add value to the security ecosystem of the Division. You will have experience in dealing with and resolving complex security matters and supporting others to develop a deeper understanding and awareness of the need for compliance to security compliance.
