About the Role This leadership role is responsible for managing the Aboriginal Child and Family Health Service, delivering culturally safe, integrated care for Aboriginal families with children aged 0-5. The role leads multidisciplinary teams, strengthens community partnerships, and drives service improvement to achieve better early childhood health outcomes.
Key Duties
* Lead and manage the Aboriginal Child and Family Health Service, ensuring culturally safe, integrated care for Aboriginal families
* Provide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering antenatal, early childhood and family health services
* Maintain strong cultural integrity, clinical governance and continuous quality improvement across the service
* Build and sustain partnerships with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and key stakeholders
* Lead service planning, performance monitoring, reporting and resource management to achieve improved health outcomes
Selection Criteria / Essential Requirements
* This is an Identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander position, authorised under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
* Demonstrated experience leading Aboriginal health, child and family, or community-based services
* Strong understanding of culturally safe practice, clinical governance and service integration
* Proven ability to lead, support and develop multidisciplinary teams
* Experience building effective partnerships with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and government stakeholders
* Demonstrated skills in service planning, quality improvement, reporting and performance monitoring
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in health, social sciences or equivalent experience
* Current Working With Children Check and ability to meet NSW Health compliance requirements
* Current Australian C-Class driver's licence
