About the role
The Logistics Coordinator sits within the Operations division and will provide logistics support to our loading dock teams and customers. As our Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and secure services to clients, suppliers, and contractors before, during and after events. This role reports into the Logistics Team Leader and will develop and maintain key relationships with other internal departments such as Kitchen, Retail, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service and Security.
What you're here to do
* Coordinating the logistics operations across the MCEC business
* Monitor floor operations pre and post events, ensuring OH&S operating guidelines are followed
* Ensure the reliable and secure delivery of customer articles
* Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Conduct pre and post condition inspections
* Deliver high quality service to both internal and external customers
* Maintain documentation to the required standard
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate
* Experience in logistics management, preferably from within the exhibition and events industry but not essential
* Previous leadership experience
* Proven record of managing and delivering operations within time and budget requirements
* Customer service skills, having worked in a client/customer contact environment
* Valid car license and license to operate a Forklift Truck
* Experience with technology‐based tracking systems is advantageous
