Electrical Maintenance Leadership Opportunity
The role of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor involves leading and coordinating a team within a dynamic manufacturing environment to ensure optimal resource utilization, workflow performance, and equipment reliability.
* Coordinate with the maintenance planner and team leaders to strategically plan and allocate trade resources in alignment with production and maintenance schedules.
* Assign trade personnel to support both reactive and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Provide clear and timely communication regarding the status of personnel, equipment, and ongoing work within your scope of responsibility.
* Monitor the electrical team's workflow performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Proactively identify potential issues within electrical systems and implement preventive maintenance strategies to mitigate risks and minimize operational disruptions.
* Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis sessions for equipment breakdowns and significant failures, promoting a culture of learning and problem-solving.
* Coach trade staff in assessing the condition of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks based on operational requirements.
* Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment to support maintenance workflows, ensuring timely procurement and availability.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and equipment history, utilizing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Requirements
* A background in electrical trade or engineering is required.
* Proven leadership skills and experience in leading electrical trades are essential.
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment reliability are necessary.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of technicians, are required.
* Proficient computer skills, including experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management software, are necessary.
