We have a fantastic opportunity at our McNamaraLodge in Meadow Springs for an out-of-the-box and forward-thinking Therapy Assistant
As a Therapy Assistant with RAAFA, you will work closely with both the Lifestyle Coordinator and the Occupational Therapist to assess resident's needs and preferences to develop appropriate one-on-one or group programs, assist in the development and delivery of group and individual therapies and note changes in resident's well-being and advise staff of these.
A Therapy Assistant with RAAFA is always involved in the continuous improvement of the service.

This role as a Therapy Assistant will see you:
Assist in the implementation of therapy programs including group and individual activities.
Assist in assessing resident's needs and preferences and help develop appropriate programs in relation to the individual.
Supervise volunteers who are assisting with the program.
Complete documentation and reporting in relation to the role.
Communicate with Allied Health and Clinical teams on the outcome of programs for the residents.
About you:
Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance.
Previous, demonstrated experience working in Residential Aged Care.
Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team.
Proactive with a positive 'get up and go' attitude.
Flexible with start and finish times.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem solving skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff.
