The primary focus is on planning, preparing and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes and engaging in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge, skills and student engagement.
With experience, teachers may undertake additional duties beyond their rostered teaching duties that are appropriate to their salary range, qualifications, training and experience.Range 2 teachers play a significant role in improving student performance, contributing to policy and priorities, and providing expert advice, mentoring, and data-driven decision making.
They also supervise and train student teachers.Range 1 teachers focus on developing skills to become effective practitioners, teaching a range of students, and receiving structured support and mentoring.
