Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Location: Darra, QLD
Rate: $55–$60 per hour + super (depending on experience)
Hours: Day Shift – Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician looking for a stable day-shift role in a highly automated, modern manufacturing facility? Our client, a well-established steel manufacturing plant in Darra, is seeking a skilled E&I Technician to join their maintenance team and support ongoing reliability, automation, and production uptime.
What You'll Be Doing
* Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing Siemens PLC-controlled machinery
* Maintaining automated production lines, drives, motors, sensors, and instrumentation
* Conducting preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance across the facility
* Performing calibration, testing, and verification of instrumentation equipment
* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Ensuring high safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained
* Working collaboratively with fitters, electricians, and production teams
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Electrician with solid instrumentation experience (dual-trade highly regarded)
* Strong background in automation and Siemens PLC fault finding
* Experience in industrial, steel, heavy manufacturing, or high-speed production environments
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
* Commitment to safe work practices and excellent problem-solving skills
* Strong communicator who works well within a high-performing maintenance team
