Thisis for a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at up to 76 hours perfortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/orpermanency.
Anopportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic ClinicalNurse Specialist to join the Public Health team at GeraldtonHospital in the Midwest.
To besuccessful, you will have...
* Experience in diseasecontrol including understanding of public health issues andcoordination of disease control programs.
* Effective verbal andwritten skills, especially advocacy and negotiationskills.
* Theability to function independently and as part of ateam.
* Experience working inrural communities, particularly with Aboriginal people, and anunderstanding of Aboriginal culture.
* Demonstrated computerliteracy and an ability to utilise health informationmanagement systems, including data analysis andinterpretation.
* CurrentWA immunisation certificate or equivalentqualification.
* Eligiblefor / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class driverslicence or other specialised licence class.
PositionProfile:
Plans,implements and evaluates public health programs and managesdisease control programs at a regional level in collaborationwith the Clinical Nurse Manager Public Health and ConsultantPublic Health Medicine. Acts as a resource for other healthprofessionals in detection and control of communicable andnon-communicable diseases.
