ConsMin are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent Mobile Plant to lead and support the mobile maintenance team at our Woodie Woodie operation. The Company is an owner-operator miner, and we own and maintain a mining fleet consisting of Hitachi (EX3600), Caterpillar excavators, dump trucks, and various ancillary equipment.
ConsMin produces some of the world's highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Reporting to the Mobile Plant Manager, the Superintendent Mobile Plant will primarily be accountable for the safe and efficient execution of all mobile maintenance activities. You will also:
* Ensure maintenance frequencies are adhered to in effort to prolong the life of equipment and reduce maintenance downtime.
* Provide guidance, coaching and direction to maintenance personnel.
* Monitor and analyse machine performance.
* Analyse maintenance KPIs, safety, cost, and schedule compliance.
* Plan work orders in SAP based on priorities set by both operations and maintenance.
* Be responsible for cost control and look for opportunities for improved efficiencies.
* Comply to weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
* Identify and implement cost reduction and optimization initiatives.
* Oversee the implementation of continuous improvement programs.
* Assist with backlog review and prioritisation.
* Audit previous plans for accuracy and implement improvements in future work.
Requirements to be successful in this role are:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or certificate in relevant field/ technical certificate.
* Extensive knowledge in Mobile Maintenance and have a minimum of 5+ years' experience with proven leadership experience.
* Working experience with SAP and MS Office would be considered favourably.
* Excellent planning skills and an ability to understand work at a detailed level.
* Concise verbal and written communication skills
* Previous experience working with employees of all competency levels including developing individuals with minimal experience at apprenticeship levels to Senior Maintenance levels organizing and performing maintenance in a mining environment.
