Family Violence Specialist: Children and Young Persons Program
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Family Violence Specialist to join our team in providing therapeutic services to children and young people affected by family violence. As part of our Children and Young Persons Program, you will be responsible for delivering specialized counseling and support to victims of family violence.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct multi-level assessments and interventions tailored to individual needs
* Deliver therapeutic services to children and young people impacted by family violence
* Work collaboratively with families and service providers to manage complex care needs
* Develop and implement trauma-informed care plans to promote the safety and well-being of victim survivors
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential Skills:
* Strong knowledge of family violence trauma and its developmental impact on children and young people
* Experience in therapeutic work with children and young people with complex needs
* Ability to assess risk and safety within a specialist family violence framework
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities
