Overview
Future Civil Group is based in Langwarrin and delivers civil construction projects including kerb and channel, footpath, drainage, retaining walls, handrails, signage, and roads for Mornington Peninsula Shire, Frankston City Council, Bayside City Council, Casey City Council, Kingston City Council, and Baw Baw Shire.
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to help with the day-to-day running of the operations of the business.
Position Purpose
The role of Civil Engineer is primarily an office-based position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for many and diverse administrative duties on a daily basis to support the Director and Project Engineer. You will assist with planning and coordinating multiple projects and independently manage some of the necessary elements of each site to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Position Description
Preparing preliminary engineering calculations and documents for tenders, invoices to assist senior engineer.
* Attending site visits to discuss projects with local council officers from Mornington Peninsula Shire, Frankston City Council, Bayside City Council, Casey City Council, Kingston City Council, and Baw Baw Shire.
* Reviewing and meeting the requirements of local standards such as National Construction Code, VicRoads, and local council's standards.
* Site visit and quality check (walk through) with local officers after finished projects.
* Preparing and organising materials of each project.
* Co-ordinating and scheduling project works on a daily basis.
* Preparing project briefs, attending planning meetings, reports, and scheduling of projects.
* Ensure all project documentation is accurate and uploaded into internal systems for current and future access.
* Ensure all OH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed and adhered to at all times by all employees and tradespeople while on Future Civil Group work sites to support a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Customer service and the capacity to provide exceptional service to our clients with integrity across all channels – written, phone, and face-to-face.
* Have strong organisational and time management skills.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant experience
* Strong understanding of industry and government standards, requirements, and guidelines
* Have a clean driving licence
* Hold an OH&S Induction "White" Card.
