About The RoleEstablished in 1978, Capital Chemist has grown into an award-winning group with around 50 pharmacy outlets across ACT, Tasmania and New South Wales, all dedicated to exceptional patient and customer care.We are on the lookout for a bookkeeper to join our team and help us keep our financial operations running smoothly across our group of pharmacies.
In this role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations.
You'll work closely with pharmacy partners, assist with BAS lodgements, and prepare key financial reports that ensure we're on track and financially healthy.

You thrive in a team setting, offering support where needed and building strong working relationships with colleagues and partners.
You have a solid understanding of Australian tax regulations, including GST, PAYG, and BAS, and are comfortable working with MYOB and Excel to manage financial tasks.
Your attention to detail is second to none, and you're able to manage competing deadlines, especially during key periods like BAS lodgements and financial year-end reporting.Key Skills & Experience You BringStrong experience with MYOB or similar accounting softwareIn-depth knowledge of BAS, GST, PAYG, and other tax compliance mattersPrevious bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliationsFormal qualifications in accounting/bookkeeping (Tertiary degree, Certificate IV or BAS Agent certification)The detailsWe will aim to fill the role as soon as possible and as soon as the right candidate comes along (note: we are planning to hold interviews late August).
