Job Description:
Key duties and responsibilities
Manage and administer the Database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability and security.
• Design, document, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions based on SQL / Oracle platforms, in collaboration with business applications, enterprise architecture and technology engineers.
• Manage and collaborate with platform and business applications incidents and requests, ensuring high level of customer service and satisfaction in Database solutions.
• Lead and collaborate in technology projects, including lifecycle upgrades, PAAS migration.
• Develop and document automation and monitoring solutions to streamline operational efficiency, capacity and performance.
• Sustain and enhance the security and compliance of technology to meet organisation standard, ISM, Essential 8 and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain and improve documentation of resolutions and operating procedures, to work towards root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, accreditations and experience
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry experience
• 5+ years' experience in IT engineering, design / build or Senior DBA
• Certifications in Database technology (MS-SQL, Oracle, Other) are highly desirable
• Practical knowledge of accountable technologies and implementation / operational support strategies
• Technology Accountabilities include:
o SQL Server (MS-SQL, Azure SQL)
o Oracle Server
