Being Humane Pty Ltd, based in Canberra, Australia, is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as **Disability Support Workers** on a casual basis.
As a Disability Support Worker with us, you'll play an integral role in empowering individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence, and enhancing their quality of life. You'll work closely with clients, providing assistance in daily tasks, promoting social inclusion, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide **personal care** and support with daily living tasks, including grooming, mobility assistance, and meal preparation.
- Encourage and support **participation in community and recreational activities**, enhancing social and life skills.
- Ensure clients' **health and safety** while promoting independence in all activities.
- Maintain accurate **client records** and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver **person-centered care** that meets the unique needs of each individual.

**Requirements**:
- A **Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services** (or working towards).
- Current **First Aid** and **CPR certification**.
- **National Police Check** clearance.
- **Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)** card.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a **collaborative team**.
