The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering management accounting services to the Bank, working closely with Finance Partners, Project Partners and Financial Control to ensure to deliver actionable insights to support the business areas achieve their strategic and operational objectives. The Management Accountant will ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data to support effective management reporting and analysis. Your role: Support the Month-end close process, budget and forecast processes across the RBA Business areas including consolidation, analysis and reporting of key performance measures and trends. Analyse the enterprise revenue and cost bases to identify areas for improvement, including supporting the development and monitoring of various initiatives. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements. Leverage financial software and tools to streamline analytical and reporting processes. Ad-hoc development of forecast and scenarios models as required by Head of DAR. Work closely with Finance Partners to ensure adherence to cost management practices and provide guidance on cost control, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to various departments and projects. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports that highlight key financial metrics and trends. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budget and forecasts. Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from senior management and other stakeholders. Ledger accuracy - ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger by regularly reviewing and reconciling accounts. Journal entries - prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they are properly documented and approved. Audit preparation - assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits. Develop key performance indicators, using them to conduct reviews to measure financial and operational performance leading to actionable feedback to improve results. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall business performance. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies. About You: Significant experience with the practical application of accounting principles and experience in financial modelling and analytical reporting. Demonstrated experience working with charge-back/cost-recovery/show-back models. Extensive experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting of annual and project budgets. Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) or similar financial planning and reporting systems is highly desirable. Advanced knowledge and experience using budgeting and planning tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with budgeting and management reporting processes, including preparation of internal management reports. Advanced knowledge of management accounting methodologies. Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
