Sirv is looking for fantastic support specialists with experience working with young people, who are passionate about participant outcomes and have experience dealing with high-needs participants who require complex care.

What is the opportunity?

In this critical role, you will support young people living with complex and persistent mental health conditions—often combined with other complexities such as trauma and cognitive impairment. You'll work closely with clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver recovery-oriented, person-centered care that enhances quality of life and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised, trauma-informed support in line with clients' care and recovery plans

• De-escalate behaviours of concern and respond effectively in crisis situations

• Assist with daily living activities, community participation, and skill development

• Support clients in managing mental health symptoms, medication adherence, and health appointments

• Foster meaningful relationships and promote social and emotional well-being

• Maintain accurate, professional documentation and contribute to team care planning

• Maintaining accurate health care documentation as required

What we require from you:

• Minimum 2 years' experience working in youth or disability support, with a focus on complex client needs

• Proven experience supporting individuals with dual diagnosis, trauma history, or psychosocial disabilities

• Strong understanding of recovery-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed care principles

• Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and risk management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Current First Aid & CPR and NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Recent (within the past 12 months) police check

• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

We also highly regard candidates who:

• Hold a Certificate IV or higher in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, or equivalent qualification

• Are trained in positive behaviour support and implementing behaviour support plan
