About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled Platform / DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and operate a resilient, scalable, and observable platform.
This role sits at the heart of engineering, ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and performant while enabling teams to deliver at pace.
You'll partner closely with engineering and operations teams, acting as a key contributor to platform stability, automation, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
* Develop, monitor, and maintain core platform infrastructure and services
* Design and operate in-house observability and monitoring solutions
* Build and manage Grafana dashboards, alerts, and visualisations to provide actionable insights
* Administer and optimise MySQL and PostgreSQL databases (performance tuning, backup, recovery)
* Write and maintain scripts and services in Java, Clojure, and Bash
* Manage and support Linux and Windows server environments
* Build, enhance, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
* Apply and enforce security hardening best practices across systems
* Support incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident documentation
* Collaborate with teams to continuously improve system reliability and performance
What You'll Bring
* Strong experience in platform engineering / DevOps / SRE roles
* Hands‐on expertise with Grafana and observability tooling
* Solid experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL administration
* Proficiency in Java, Clojure, and Bash scripting
* Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, etc.)
* Experience managing Linux and Windows environments
* Proven experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation
* Strong focus on security, reliability, and operational excellence
* Experience supporting incident management and RCA processes
