About the Role
As a Weighbridge Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for the correct weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from the corresponding consignment information. This position involves communicating with yard locomotives and the juice laboratory, general cleaning, working in confined spaces, and maintaining records.

Position Details
This is a permanent role in our sugar processing factory, requiring shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime, and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).
Your Responsibilities
1. Accuracy in Action: Enter cane consignment data and maintain records of weighbridge test weights, ensuring confidentiality.
2. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness around the weighbridge and assist with scheduling cleaning.
3. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Cane Supply & Transport and Laboratory teams.
4. Feedback: Provide regular, accurate updates to management on performance and quality issues.
5. Competency: Achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates possess excellent communication skills (including UHF), the ability to work with diverse teams, and basic mechanical skills. Relevant qualifications include Confined Space and Working at Heights. Additional skills like Trade Qualifications, Rigger, Dogger, and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences are highly regarded, especially during maintenance periods.
