Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist | Programmer, to join our winning team in Fairfield.
Our candidate of choice will be a highly qualified CNC Lathe Setup Machinist & Operator who can Produce Precision Parts. Programming experience is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathes in the shop.
* Fully competent and approved to perform machining processes within the scope of responsibility.
* Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished workpiece, the sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
* Possesses the ability to understand verbal as well as written instructions.
* Ability to use measuring equipment and calculate trigonometric functions.
* Measures tolerances on the job during production, upon completion, and before passing the product to the next operation.
* Completes in-process inspection reports.
* Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good communication practices.
* Quality requirements to meet standards and production schedules.
* Compensation range commensurate with experience.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 or more years of experience with computer numerical controlled machining.
* Familiarity with Swiss-Type Screw Machine (Star SR-20, Tsugami, etc.)
* Experience with ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
* Must be a US citizen or legal resident eligible for employment.
