As a valued professional, we are seeking a skilled Clinician/Counsellor to join our team in providing mental health services to veterans.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services, including risk assessment, case management, evidence-based counselling, and referral coordination. This is an APS6 level contract for 24 months with hourly compensation between $55 and $65 plus superannuation.
Duties:
* Clinical Services: Deliver high-quality clinical services to veterans, including risk assessment, case management, and evidence-based counselling.
* Case Management: Review client progress, adjust care plans as needed, and extend episodes of care where appropriate.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, care plans, and session notes.
* Supervision and Development: Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to maintain registration and best practice.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and senior staff to review and manage complex cases.
Requirements:
* Registration: Registration as a Psychologist or Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR Membership in the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) on commencement, OR A Masters-level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4.
* Working with Children Checks: Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
* Australian Citizenship: As this role is within a Federal Government department it is required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement.
