About the Role
This is an exciting new opportunity designed to integrate community development and engagement approaches. As a Community Services Navigator, you will play a key role in raising awareness and enhancing accessibility to Carer Gateway services through our Carer Gateway Hub.
The role has four core functions:
* To create seamless connections between carers and vital community resources, cultivating meaningful relationships that support wellbeing and independence.
* Supporting carers to thrive, focusing on holistic well-being, going beyond basic needs to help carers achieve their full potential.
* The service is carer-focused, adopting a 'no wrong door approach.' Oversee the Townsville Carer Hub, facilitating social interaction and promoting wellbeing, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities
* Experience working with family carers in mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and community support services.
* Diploma or above in a support discipline and/or equivalent community sector experience.
* Current valid driver's licence.
* Strong technology skills.
* Satisfactory national police records check (within 12 months).
* WWCC/QLD Blue Card.
* Child safety and personal history screening (LCS2).
* NDIS worker orientation module certificate.
