Duties:
The Systems Engineer has the following duties:
Ensuring that design proposals and engineering changes meet industry standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Providing independent reviews of engineering proposals to determine if they are cost effective and are feasible from an engineering standpoint.
Reviewing design proposals and engineering changes to identify
opportunities for improvement or new innovative ideas.
Performing quality control on engineering documentation
submitted to the CoA by the various vendors.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers,
suppliers, and partners.
If assigned, coordination of the development, construction, testing
and deployment of a test environment, including certification.
Establishing and maintain good working relationships with internal
and external stakeholders.
Required Skills/Abilities:
The System Engineer will demonstrate:
Ability to work to a task and applied timeline as directed.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
The ability to lead teams and work as a team member working on
complex, high-impact projects with confidence.
The ability to work with a limited level of autonomy and
uncertainty.
The ability to assist the Senior Engineering Manager and/or
Engineering Manager in supporting the engineering team.
Education and Experience:
The Systems Engineer will have:
Bachelor's degree (mandatory) in engineering, computer science, or related field.
Be a member of Engineers Australia (mandatory) and be or meet the
standard of a Chartered Engineer (highly desirable, may be mandatory for certain roles).
Hold a current NV1 (minimum) clearance.
Experience in software test environment (highly desirable).
Experience in software development processes and best practices is highly desirable
