Job Description: Analyze financial models to ensure accuracy and compliance with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop complex project finance models tailored to property development that incorporates social and affordable housing.
* Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess debt serviceability and risk exposure.
* Ensure financial model accuracy, auditability, and alignment with industry standards.
* Prepare executive summaries and visual aids of financial model outcomes for stakeholder presentations.
* Conduct credit due diligence on project finance and/or real estate lending transactions, including providing support to mitigate risk.
* Draft high-quality credit papers clearly presenting transaction structures, risks, and recommendations.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including originators, legal counsel, and community housing providers.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Property Economics, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in project finance modeling, ideally in infrastructure, housing, or related sectors.
* Banking or financing experience in underwriting loan transactions in the real estate and/or project finance sector.
* Advanced proficiency in excel, including VBA and familiarity with financial modeling standards.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Solid understanding of credit risk, including cashflow lending and corporate finance.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex ideas.
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to work at a fast pace and anticipate issues.
* Familiarity with community housing financing and/or regulatory environment would be an advantage.
