About the Role
The Student Support Services (SSS) team provides specialist support to children and young people facing learning barriers. This fixed‑term, part‑time position (0.6 FTE) runs until 31 January 2027 and requires a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, intervention and collaboration with schools and community agencies.
Responsibilities
* Provide flexible services across four priority areas: critical incidents, acute complex cases, prevention/capability building and short‑term intervention.
* Conduct formal and informal assessments and deliver evidence‑based interventions tailored to individual student needs.
* Consult with educators and other team members to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies.
* Maintain high‑quality written reports, program advice and networking with local service providers.
* Work autonomously while supporting the multidisciplinary team culture.
Qualifications and Experience
* Graduate or post‑graduate degree in social work or equivalent.
* Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.
* Experience with trauma‑informed practices and complex presentations preferred.
