Job Title: Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer
The Disability Gateway aims to promote cultural safety and accessibility for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, carers, and families. To achieve this goal, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to join our team.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for promoting the Disability Gateway across community, enhancing its accessibility and cultural safety. You will travel within the community and interstate to promote the service and engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-controlled organisations and other key stakeholders to build referral pathways and promote the Disability Gateway.
* Establishing and nurturing community networks in targeted communities
* Coordinating local meetings, community consultations, advisory groups and events, and supporting community partner events
To succeed in this role, you will require strong computer literacy skills to support remote work, deliver effective presentations, and facilitate stakeholder engagement online. A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required are also essential. Recognition from within the community as a respected, culturally safe person is crucial.
