As part of a multidisciplinary team for the WACHS Command Centre, the Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) is responsible for providing clinical consultancy as part of the Midwifery and Obstetrics Emergency Telehealth Service (MOETS) within the assigned area of specialty across the WA Country Health Service and its regions. The CMC is responsible for the provision of timely expert and advanced and complex midwifery advice and clinical support including cardiotocograph monitoring to regional health services using audio-visual modalities; delivers concurrent fetal monitoring guidance; provides mentorship and role-modelling for midwives; contributes to the advancement of the midwifery profession and maternal and newborn services; and enables innovation and improvement in health and health service delivery.
