The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Controller to take ownership of the company's financial operations and reporting. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is suited to a technically strong finance professional who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, actively contributing to the preparation, analysis, and delivery of financial information. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organised, and thrives in a role where they are directly involved in producing accurate financial outcomes. You will bring strong analytical capability, a high level of accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
The role will be based in our Henderson office within Perth on a Full-Time Monday-Friday basis, with flexible working hours options.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Responsible for month end close and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
* Perform detailed financial analysis for business units to provide insights on performance
* Maintain and apply accounting policies in line with relevant standards and regulations
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Prepare and lodge tax obligations, including BAS and FBT returns
* Coordinate and deliver internal and external audit requirements ensuring compliance with Mammoet policies.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiencies
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* CA/CPA qualified or near completion
* SAP experience highly regarded
* Experience with larger organisations, project accounting, cross company and cross border transactions.
* Strong work ethic
