Swimming Instructor

We are looking for a confident and engaging Swimming Instructor to join our team. The role centres on delivering high-quality swimming lessons while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants. You’ll work with a wide range of ages and abilities, so strong communication and a flexible teaching style are essential.
- Deliver structured swimming lessons that build technique, confidence, and essential water-safety skills.
As a Swimming Instructor, you will run individual and group lessons focusing on stroke development, confidence in the water, and essential water-safety skills. You will be responsible for creating a safe learning environment, keeping close supervision at all times, and maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate attendance and progress records for all participants.
* Deliver structured swimming lessons that build technique, confidence, and water safety.
* Current Austswim or equivalent recognised Swimming Instructor certification.
* Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to help swimmers improve.
* Current CPR certification and Basic First Aid certification.
What We’re Looking For
* Current Swimming Instructor certification.
* Ability to obtain a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all ages and skill levels.
* Current CPR certification.
* Ability to adjust teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
* A patient, enthusiastic approach to teaching.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
