Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Rail Container Fleet Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of intermodal container and fleet assets.
About the Role
* Plan, manage and support the acquisition, delivery, maintenance, breakdown management, operational management and end-of-life/disposal of intermodal container and fleet assets.
* Oversee supplier and service-provider performance to ensure accountability, contract compliance, safety, quality, audits, and strong working relationships across all maintenance, repair, wash and operational service activities.
* Ensure regulatory, safety and compliance management across all areas of responsibility.
* Manage operational planning, costs and performance by scheduling and authorising repairs, wash and maintenance, controlling budgets.
* Work with rail planning and operations team on fleet repair and wash scheduling and exception reporting.
* Provide advice on in-transit failures or out-of-temp stock issues and support strategic fleet development and operational improvements.
* Manage additional/rental equipment for peak periods, overseeing delivery and end-of-lease returns.
Requirements
* Experience in transport fleet and/or maintenance management, including supplier coordination and issue resolution.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Solid understanding of maintenance procedures, repair timeframes and technical fleet/equipment requirements.
* Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency with Google/Microsoft suites, reporting and analysis, and knowledge of SH&E requirements.
* Valid driver's licence with a good driving record.
