Practice Information
This practice is a mixed billing primary healthcare practice dedicated to providing high quality patient‑focused medical care that is accessible and affordable. Pathology and pharmacy services are co‑located on site. The practice has a large patient base and supports medical training for registrars, interns, medical and nursing students.
Position Description
An experienced General Practitioner is needed to step into a clinical leadership role as the practice’s Lead GP. In addition to maintaining a personal patient load, responsibilities include:
* Provide clinical guidance and leadership to doctors.
* Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise registrars, interns and medical students.
* Drive accreditation and quality improvement processes.
* Recruit and orientate new clinical staff.
* Build strong relationships with external providers.
* Provide strong clinical governance to ensure high standards of medical care.
* Provide mentoring education and support to the medical workforce.
* Provide much‑needed appointments to the community by stepping in to a busy, fully booked GP clinic.
Qualifications & Experience
Requirements for the role include:
* Fellowship with RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent.
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in general practice.
* Experience leading a clinical team is highly desirable.
* Accreditation as a GP Registrar Supervisor (ACRRM and RACGP).
* Ability to work in Australia. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.
