**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Experience Design Lead, the Product Designer is both an artisan and technical specialist. As an interaction designer you live for designing beautiful digital experiences with deep understanding of the Aesthetic-usability effect on visual designs, knowing the difference between "good" and "great work". You are constantly trying to innovate for your products and projects, doing the same old is not something you have in your repertoire. Working within an Agile scrum team to solve real customer problems from concept to delivery, you will Be responsible for validating and translating concepts into beautiful digital experienced in close collaboration with Experience Designers, Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering and other experts across the business.
This position comprises three main areas of responsibility:
- ** Interaction Design**:
- using your expertise in aesthetics, best practice UI design and usability heuristics, UI pattern states and interactions, user flows, and responsive web to create the best experiences for our users to achieve their goals.
- ** Behaviour Validation** - gaining deep understandings of how users perform actions in our digital experiences.
- ** Design System alignment** - Maintain alignment with the Bupa Design System and Bupa Brand digital experiences to ensure a cohesive and connected Bupa customer experience.

You will:
- Bring significant exposure to working and collaborating with other designers and front-end development teams
- Have experience working within an Agile environment
- Enjoy collaborating with others and taking an active role in the product development process

**What You'll Bring**
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 2+ years' experience working as a Product Designer
- 2+ years of web or software platform digital design or related design experience
- A strong portfolio of work across responsive web and/or related digital design
- A systems-thinking mindset for digital assets that can be leveraged by all teams in our design system.
- Experience working on large-scale, systemic design challenges.
- A firm grasp of accessibility, responsive design, native standards, common UI patterns and usability best practices
- Proficient with modern design tools, testing platforms, and virtual collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, Confluence, User Zoom, Askable), ability to work with component libraries and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
- Working with a growth mindset leveraging Design thinking & HCD methodologies
- Demonstrated customer-centric mindset; building a user experience with the customer in mind at every step of the journey
- Demonstrated strong emotional intelligence; intimately understanding and empathising with Bupa customers varying journeys and preferences.
- Background in using data and research to optimise usability performance.
- An ability to effectively communicate ideas and design decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- A strong team player with sharp attention to detail, high level of initiative, as well as strong organisational and time management skills.
- Significant exposure to working and collaborating with other designers and front-end development teams
- Have a curiosity to understand health insurance and health service provisioning business drivers and customer needs.
- Experience or certification working in an agile delivery environment
