The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing ICT business in the Northern Territory. This role is suited to a senior infrastructure engineer who enjoys working across complex environments, designing robust network architectures, and delivering well structured technical solutions.
You will play a key role in designing and implementing network and infrastructure platforms across customer environments, including VLAN architecture, routing, firewall configuration, and core infrastructure services such as DNS and domain platforms. You will also support complex Level 3 technical escalations and contribute to technical projects across multi site environments.
This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, engaging with customers, and seeing technical work through from design to completion.
Location within Darwin preferred but open to Interstate applications
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Infrastructure Design
* Design and implement network architectures including VLAN segmentation, routing, and switching
* Configure and deploy FortiGate firewalls and network infrastructure
* Design and maintain DNS infrastructure and domain configurations
* Support hybrid connectivity between on premise and cloud environments
Infrastructure Platforms
* Configure and support server infrastructure across on premise and cloud platforms
* Support domain services including Active Directory and identity platforms
* Ensure infrastructure solutions integrate cleanly with network architecture
Project Delivery & Technical Implementation
* Deliver network and infrastructure projects across single and multi site environments
* Lead technical implementation during hardware rollouts and infrastructure upgrades
* Ensure solutions are implemented correctly and documented thoroughly
Level 3 Technical Support
* Act as a Level 3 escalation point for complex network and infrastructure issues
* Support engineering teams during troubleshooting and incident resolution
* Contribute to root cause analysis and preventative improvements
What We Are Looking For
* Strong experience designing and implementing network infrastructure
* Hands on experience with VLAN design, switching, and routing
* Experience configuring FortiGate or similar firewall platforms
* Solid understanding of DNS, domains, and core infrastructure services
* Experience working across on premise and cloud environments
* Comfortable delivering technical projects and infrastructure rollouts
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving capability
* Professional and confident when working with customers
