Senior Aquatic Ecologist Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Aquatic Ecologist to lead and implement aquatic ecology projects in our Perth-based team.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and implementing aquatic ecology projects, conducting field surveys and laboratory analysis, preparing proposals and budgets, managing project staff, and undertaking environmental impact assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and executing comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
2. Providing expert guidance on aquatic ecology concepts, supporting junior staff with training and mentorship.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical reports and presentations.
4. Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
5. Engaging in ongoing professional development, staying updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.
Requirements:
* Advanced degree in Freshwater Ecology/Biology or Marine Science or equivalent.
* At least 3-10 years of experience in senior aquatic ecology roles, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
* Demonstrated expertise in aquatic ecology, with a deep understanding of relevant concepts, principles, and methodologies.
