The Opportunity
ANZ Veolia invites expressions of interest for the position of Operations Leading Hand based in our Mackay, who has a HR Licence and experience in logistics or the waste industry (desirable but not essential) to join the friendly team.
This role is the first point of contact for our waste drivers and operators to assist with any issues.
This role is Monday to Friday 4.00am - 12.00pm overtime and weekends as required.

What you'll be responsible for
- Manage daily waste collection schedules for productive resource use and job completion
- Optimise routes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Exceed customer expectations; handle complaints and resolutions
- Manage vehicle breakdowns and bin issues; elevate to appropriate team
- Verify driver confirmations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain safety standards; conduct job analysis and risk assessments
What you'll need to be successful
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within transport / logistics Waste Industry experience desirable)
- HR drivers licence (Mandatory)
- Dangerous goods licence (diserable)
- Intermediate computer literacy
- Current Trainer / Assessor qualification
- Safety conscious mindset
