Senior Financial Accountant (EL1) – Hudson – Melbourne, VIC, AU
Annual Statements / Fed gov reporting systems; Must have current Baseline security clearance; 6-months with potential extension.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse monthly financial performance reports
* Support consolidated financial reporting for executive and board committees
* Prepare quarterly financial analysis and insights
* Assist with interim audit processes
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews
* Support compliance obligations across government financial frameworks
* Monitor financial systems and interfaces to ensure data integrity
* Partner with senior program managers on financial reporting matters
* Contribute to ad hoc finance projects as required
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business
* CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
* Strong experience in management accounting and statutory reporting and annual statements
* Experience using Technology One or a comparable FMIS
* High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset
* Confident communicator able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
* Comfortable working in a structured, values-driven environment
