Job Summary:

An accomplished accounting professional is sought to join our dynamic team in a finance leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled accountant to take on a challenging role in a growing organization.


Key Responsibilities:

* Financial Operations:
* Prepare and process month-end journals, including standing journals and accruals.
* Process overhead accounts payable invoices and complete bank reconciliations.
* Review the client trust account and clear reconciling items.
* Reconcile Xero general ledger balance sheet accounts and credit card statements.
* Reporting & Compliance:
* Prepare monthly management accounts for key business units, including P&L and balance sheet reports.
* Compile statutory accounts.
* Reconcile unearned revenue liability by client/event at month-end.
* Payroll & Employee Records:
* Maintain employee payroll data in Xero, including personal, payroll, and superannuation details.
* Process fortnightly payrolls for Australia and New Zealand, including leave management.
* Lodge monthly payroll data with the tax authority via single touch payroll.
* Prepare annual payroll tax returns, payment summaries, and reconcile wages accounts.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
* 3+ years' experience in a similar accounting role.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and multi-tasking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Experience with Xero is highly regarded.
