About the Role
As a Payroll Coordinator, reporting to the Head of HR, working from our Subiaco head office, you will:
* Manage payroll processing for 500+ employees in coordination with outsourced provider to produce end‑to‑end payroll on a bi‑monthly basis;
* Lead transformational payroll projects to align with future state opportunities;
* Administer full‑function payroll processing, including preparation, reconciliation and reporting;
* Oversee superannuation, payroll tax, workers' compensation, child support and other statutory remittances through our payroll systems;
* Process calculations relating to leave, terminations, prepayments and allowances;
* Drive payroll system administration and upgrades;
* Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner;
* Support the broader HR and Finance teams with payroll‑related tasks as required.
About You
We are seeking a confident payroll expert who is comfortable in taking charge of overseeing the payroll cycle.
Having skills & experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
* Experience working with ADP Payforce and SuccessFactors
* Strong understanding of payroll processes in a mining environment
* High attention to detail, strong analytical skills and excellent time management
* Ability to identify and lead process improvement initiatives
About Telfer Operations
Telfer is a gold‑copper mine located in the Paterson Province of the East Pilbara region of Western Australia. It includes both open‑pit and underground mining operations, as well as the operation of Australia's third‑largest gold‑copper processing facility. Since beginning gold production in 1975, Telfer has produced more than 15 Moz of gold to date.
Our Telfer operations offer a fly‑in fly‑out work arrangement, providing our workforce with a healthy work–life balance. Onsite, we offer a broad range of recreational activities, including a recently refurbished gym, swimming pool, driving range, movie room, and both dry and wet mess facilities.
In addition to Telfer, Greatland owns 100% of the Havieron gold‑copper, a world‑class development project with a multi‑decade mine life, located 45 km east of Telfer that will utilise the existing Telfer infrastructure to process Havieron ore, together with a significant exploration portfolio in the region surrounding Telfer.
