We’re currently seeking an experienced and people-focused
Future Careers & Industry Engagement Manager
to join them on a 16-month maternity leave contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role that blends team management, stakeholder engagement, and future workforce development. You’ll play a key role in shaping career pathways, supporting apprentices, and driving initiatives that strengthen the industry’s long-term success.
What you’ll be doing
Leading and mentoring 1 direct report, fostering a positive team culture
Driving outreach initiatives; career expos, roadshows, and events
Building relationships with TAFEs, education providers, RTOs, and industry stakeholders
Delivering engaging presentations to promote career pathways
Identifying skill shortages and supporting development initiatives
Managing and coordinating career-focused projects and programs
Collaborating with internal teams to align strategy and deliveryProviding guidance to apprentices, employers, and industry members
Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth delivery
What’s on offer
16-month maternity leave contract (full-time)
$105,000–$110,000 package (inclusive of super)
East Melbourne (3002) office
Hybrid work: work from the office, at events and educational institutions, and WFH

What we’re looking for
Experience managing at least 1 direct report
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Understanding of apprenticeships, training pathways, or the VET sector (ideal)
Construction industry experience (highly regarded, not essential)
Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to diverse audiences
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
A genuine passion for developing people and future career pathways
