Position Summary
In line with the departmental goal of constantly growing the commercial and industrial sales business, manage your assigned territory to achieve a designated sales target level and to develop profitable business with new and existing customers. Develop relationships with consulting engineers and HVAC contractors to ensure Seeley commercial products are specified for appropriate projects, with specific focus on the Climate Wizard Indirect Evaporative Cooler and Braemar VRF & Reverse Cycle ranges, building on recent success and further growing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets and margins within budget guidelines by effectively servicing existing accounts, acquiring new customers, and managing a network of contractors and distributors.
- Business Development : Identify, appoint, and manage contractors, distributors, and trade retailers throughout the territory. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and meet customer requirements.
- Technical Expertise : Provide technical support to customers, including Conducting heat load calculations and performance assessments. Preparing compelling applications engineering reports. Providing product training and demonstrations to contractors and engineers.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify recent opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Customer Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including consulting engineers, architects, contractors, and end-users.
- Project Management: Identify and pursue major project opportunities, including tendering and contract negotiations.
- Marketing Support: Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline will be considered favorably.
- Refrigeration Technician qualifications (in absence of a Mechanical Engineering degree)
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in the HVAC industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Results oriented with ability to plan and deliver within project deadlines
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
