What you'll be doing
As our Marketing Operations Manager, you'll be the central hub for delivery. You'll ensure client campaigns run smoothly, the team delivers on time and at quality, and the director can step back from day-to-day ops.
Key responsibilities:
* Client Onboarding:
Own the first 30 days of each new client (setup, tracking, dashboards, team tasks).
* Project Management:
Run ClickUp, assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure ownership is clear.
* QA & Standards:
Spot-check deliverables (websites, SEO tasks, ads, reports) before they go to clients. Implement and enforce QA checklists across the team.
* Team Accountability:
Run weekly ops check-ins, 1:1s, and use feedback frameworks to hold people accountable. Ensure blockers are surfaced within 24 hours.
* Systems & Processes:
Maintain and build SOPs, streamline workflows, and automate repetitive tasks.
* Reporting:
Provide the director with a Weekly Ops Summary:
* KPI Oversight:
Ensure specialists report their campaign metrics (calls, CPL, rankings, uptime). Track Ops metrics (task completion %, overdue tasks, QA pass rate).
Skills & expertise
We're looking for someone who's run ops/delivery in a digital agency (or very similar environment) and loves building systems:
* Proven operations/project management background (ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar)
* Experience in a digital agency (SEO, Ads, or Web knowledge preferred but not hands-on)
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communicator — proactive, clear, direct
* High attention to detail and QA mindset
* Process-driven, loves creating SOPs and making systems run smoother
* Comfortable holding team members accountable without micromanaging
Bonus skills:
* Familiarity with marketing KPIs (CTR, CPL, rankings, conversions)
* Experience in improving delivery systems at a service business
* Automation experience (Zapier, reporting automation, Slack workflows)
