Dietitian Assistant
About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian Assistant to join us in this crucial role to provide support to Nutrition and Dietetics teams in the delivery of high-level heath care service, while working under the supervision of an allied health professional.
As a Dietitian Assistant you will be assisting the Dietitians at Griffith Health Service with various tasks. These may include but are not limited to:
* Completing menu orders with patients
* Providing basic nutritional education/groups
* Administration tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, data entry and mailing letters
* Organising discharge letters & supplement scripts
* Ordering and managing stock and equipment levels
In addition to, delivering specialised nutritional supplements and feeds to the wards, and liaising closely with catering and other health care professionals regarding patient diets and requirements.

Remuneration: $63,177.29 - $71,429.33 per annum, pro rata (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetics) or a relevant university nutrition qualification (or relevant work experience/specific interest in nutrition and a willingness to work towards certification with the support of MLHD.)
* Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required)
* Commitment to customer service and quality improvement
* Ability to work autonomously while managing daily tasks and supporting dietitians with minimal supervision
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and other health care professionals to relay information, clarify instructions and support patient care.
