The opportunity
Inner West Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Procurement team as a Procurement Cadet. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about purchasing activities, supporting sourcing of materials and services, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance .
You will play a vital role in responsive preparation, review, and execution of contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are followed.
What Is The Traineeship
This is a 24-month supported program you will receive continuous assistance throughout the journey.
There will be on the job training and formal training and assessment completing a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (Warehousing Operations).
You will work towards achieving the competencies outlined in a training plan, complete assigned training and assessments, and maintain a training record.

About The Role
Assist in maintaining relationships with current suppliers, ensuring consistent communication and service quality.
Support the team in identifying potential suppliers and sourcing goods and services, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Aid in the preparation, review, and execution of contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are followed.

Remuneration
From $827.40 per week + superannuation
Some Of The Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications
* Capacity to undertake and actively working towards a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (Warehousing Operations).
* Assist with the triage and assessment of applications associated with the initiatives of Council
* Ability to use the Microsoft Office package and keyboard skills.
* Good verbal communication skills
* Manage customer complaints and inquiries through various channels
* Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
