Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Hospital Occupational Therapist for a Level 1 or 2 role on the South Coast. The position is available as a 3‐month locum with possible extension or a 12‐month fixed‐term contract starting 20th April (flexible). The role requires a 4‐day per week schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
* Provide inpatient rehabilitation, including orthopaedics, reconditioning and some neurological reconditioning (e.g., Parkinson's) and day program participation.
* Work closely with an allied health team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitian, Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants, Rehabilitation Specialists and nursing staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hospital rehabilitation experience desirable, particularly with orthopaedic cases.
* Background in neurological reconditioning, e.g., Parkinson's, is a plus.
* Valid driving licence preferred due to limited public transport options.
* Relocation assistance handled on a case‐by‐case basis; flights and petrol to be managed accordingly.
Compensation & Benefits
* Locum rates offered, with potential living away from home allowance.
