Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind & BESS)
Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane (East Coast)
Join a Tier 1 renewable energy developer delivering some of Australia’s most exciting utility-scale solar PV, wind and battery storage (BESS) projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take projects from pre-construction through to operations, leading subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
This role offers the chance to shape Australia’s energy transition — managing grid-connected projects, engaging with AEMO, and delivering complex power systems infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project delivery across solar, wind, hybrid and BESS projects
Manage subcontractors, contracts, budgets and project teams from early works through to operations
Oversee grid connection milestones, working closely with AEMO, NSPs, consultants and internal engineers
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards across all project phases
Represent the business with key stakeholders including regulators, landowners, and government agencies
About You:
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) strongly preferred
10+ years’ experience in project delivery across renewable energy, transmission/distribution, or large infrastructure
Proven background managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of grid connection, GPS requirements, solar/BESS projects - huge advantage
Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
