About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support & Welfare Officer to join our team and support students enrolled in our VET programs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student wellbeing, inclusion, and supporting learners to succeed both personally and academically.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide student wellbeing and support to students
* Support students facing personal, academic, or wellbeing challenges
* Monitor students' attendance and engagement, support at-risk students
* Assist students with referrals to internal services and external support agencies
* Support student orientation, wellbeing initiatives, and engagement activities
* Maintain accurate and confidential student records
* Work collaboratively with trainers, assessors, and administration staff
* Support compliance with RTO standards, ESOS requirements, and safeguarding obligations
About You
* 2+ years' experience in student support, welfare, or a related field
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
* Understanding of student wellbeing, mental health, and support services
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
