About the Role
The Enterprise Sales Executive is responsible for driving Symantec's cybersecurity portfolio across Australia through the acquisition of new business, expansion of existing accounts and execution of strategic sales initiatives. This role requires strong commercial acumen, the ability to build trusted relationships at senior levels and a disciplined approach to pipeline and territory management.
You will work closely with partners, internal technical teams and broader Westcon functions to deliver customer centric outcomes, increase market presence and contribute to long term sustainable growth across the enterprise and government segments.
Your Key Responsibilities
Sales and Territory Management
• Act as the front-line account director for your defined territory, managing commercial, enterprise and government customers
• Drive new business acquisition, renewals and overall territory development
• Design and implement competitive sales strategies aligned with ANZ business direction and regional objectives
• Build, maintain and execute a healthy pipeline using value-based sales methodologies and accurate forecasting
• Lead customer presentations, demonstrations and value proposition development to support new opportunities
• Contribute to increased demonstrations, public presentations, POCs, tenders and general market engagement activities
Customer and Partner Engagement
• Build and develop trusted relationships with customers and partners to support long-term growth
• Support the creation of customer-centric value propositions that help customers strengthen their multi cloud security posture
• Engage in collaborative customer and partner meetings, influencing strategy, execution and overall engagement
• Position Symantec as a thought leader within your accounts through regular interaction, planning and advocacy
• Ensure customers can move seamlessly between cloud environments without needing to redevelop their security posture
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with internal technical, marketing and professional services teams to support customer needs and sales strategy
• Maintain regular two-way communication with your virtual team on account strategies, methodologies, forecasting and customer engagements
• Leverage internal and external resources to resolve complex issues and support broader business goals
• Influence channel strategy and support alignment with VMware/Symantec channel communities where relevant
Leadership and Team Contribution
• Foster a team culture of execution, innovation, inclusiveness and customer centricity
• Contribute to building greater brand awareness and uptake of Symantec technology across your accounts and the market
• Coach and support members of the virtual team to strengthen execution and contribute to business outcomes
• Represent Symantec and Westcon at industry events, analyst briefings, presentations and community engagements
• Actively contribute to strategic planning for your accounts and support the long-term direction of the business
Qualifications / Requirements
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners and internal virtual teams
• Strong communication skills, including confidence in presenting, demonstrating technology and engaging in public forums
• Strategic thinking: able to design and implement competitive sales strategies aligned with business direction
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex accounts, multiple stakeholders and a busy pipeline
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on inclusiveness, purpose, customer centricity and meeting customers "where they are at"
• Ability to influence channel engagement, customer interactions and broader strategic outcomes
• Demonstrated capability to contribute to and foster a culture of execution, innovation and team collaboration
• High adaptability and willingness to operate across multi cloud, cybersecurity and emerging-security technologies
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience operating as an enterprise-level sales executive or account director within a quota-driven environment
• Demonstrated success building, developing and managing an account base, including new business acquisition and renewals
• Experience working with partners, technical teams, marketing and professional services to deliver customer outcomes
• Background in cybersecurity, cloud or IT solutions, or the ability to rapidly learn emerging-security technologies
• Experience delivering proofs of concept, responding to tenders and participating in market scans or analyst briefings
• Experience coaching or developing virtual team members (advantageous)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related discipline preferred, or equivalent industry experience
