Temp Executive Assistant - Construction | August Start | Gold Coast
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Assistant to join a dynamic construction business based at their Gold Coast location. This is a temporary assignment covering a key team member's leave from 22nd August - 13th October, with a handover commencing around 18th August.
This role offers variety and pace, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being organised, proactive, and keeping things running smoothly in a busy construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Calendar and email management for the Director, General Manager, and yourself.
* Supporting the rollout of new systems and processes already in motion
* Typing and transcribing documents, including deciphering handwritten notes.
* Assisting with timesheets, delay registers, and process maintenance.
* Coordinating vehicle and equipment hire (trucks, forklifts, etc.).
* Booking training and courses for staff.
* Overseeing general office administration and ensuring site services (cleaning, water, portable toilets) are maintained.
* Providing guidance to administrative support staff, including offshore team members.
What We're Looking For:
* 3-4 years experience in a Construction Administration or EA role - someone who understands how construction businesses operate.
* A strong multitasker who can manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
* A proactive problem-solver who can pick up systems quickly and maintain workflows independently.
* Confident with basic HR admin tasks such as recruitment coordination and staff onboarding.
* Ideally, someone with a mature, calm approach who can hold their own with business owners and senior staff.
* Availability to work full-time hours 8am-5pm across the assignment period.
