About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join our high-performing Clinical IT Operations Team! We are recruiting a temporary full-time Application Support Officer (ICT North). The successful candidate will primarily work out of either Royal North Shore Hospital or John Hunter Hospital; however, flexible working arrangements are available, including up to two days per week working from home.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW, conducting over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists is supported by scientists, technicians, and support staff who assess samples quickly and accurately, enabling clinical teams to make the best treatment decisions for patients. We encourage staff involvement in research and innovation to help create safer, healthier communities. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice system.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing the core build for Pathology within the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
* Identifying and resolving policy and process implications due to LIS implementation/changes across multiple areas, including Requisition Data Entry and Pre-Analytical processing
* Supporting managers responsible for Requisition Data Entry and Pre-Analytical processing to maximize workflow efficiencies
* Managing record issues related to billing and patient encounters

* Experience in a pathology end-user department and/or a solid understanding of diagnostic laboratory processes and workflows related to Core build, Pre-Analytical workflow, and billing (Medicare and Non-Medicare)
* Ability to analyze, investigate, and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong interpersonal skills with good oral and written communication, capable of assisting stakeholders via phone, email, and screensharing
* Ability to analyze and present data using MS Excel
* Capability to work both independently and in a team
* Effective planning and time management skills, with experience in delivering project milestones
* Experience in managing multiple complex issues while maintaining quality
