The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a vital role that ensures the safe, efficient, and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals to mental health wards and departments. This position also involves assisting in the preparation of non-sterile products, dispensing prescriptions, and performing associated clerical duties to maintain smooth and compliant operations.

What You Will Bring To The Role
Successfully completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and community Pharmacy (eg Charles Sturt University) or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent or successfully completed a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and possess good time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to integrate well with the other staff working as part of the team.
Demonstrated good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Previous Australian Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
