Role overview
Icare is looking for a strategic, values-driven leader to join their Finance team as General Manager, Financial Performance and Analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role plays a critical part in shaping icare's commercial strategy and ensuring the financial sustainability of schemes that support millions of Australians.
Key Responsibilities
As the General Manager, Financial Performance and Analysis, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for:
Providing clear, strategic financial insights to the CEO, CFO, and executive team.
Driving the planning and budgeting process aligned to icare's strategic goals.
Managing a strong analytical capability that delivers actionable insights to improve customer and scheme outcomes.
Producing icare's enterprise-wide Business Plan and Statement of Business Intent.
Leading icare's quarterly performance reviews and reporting to NSW Treasury and other stakeholders.
Embedding a culture of commercial discipline and continuous improvement across icare's finance function.
Monthly management reporting.
Ensuring strong financial project governance.
Contributing to statutory reporting requirements in partnership with relevant teams.
Qualifications
You are an experienced finance leader with deep analytical capability and commercial acumen with:
Appropriate accounting (CA/CPA/CIMA) or actuarial qualifications.
Significant experience leading financial performance and planning functions, ideally within the insurance / healthcare sector.
A proven ability to influence and engage executive and government stakeholders.
Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams.
Experience using a balanced scorecard approach to performance management.
Passion for public purpose, and a commitment to improving the lives of people across NSW.
